The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it can be alarmed about the high number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area each day. The provider position established for intervention ordeals a significant influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to permit the servicing of all consumers and increase use read more of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
